All your recordings, photos, transcripts, and chapters are stored in AWS Frankfurt, Germany. Our application and database servers run in Hetzner Falkenstein, Germany. Only you and the family members you invite. Your recordings are encrypted at rest with a key we control. Even our security audit tools cannot read the contents. Our AI (Claude via AWS Bedrock EU) transcribes audio to text to draft chapters, and those drafts are only visible to your invited family.

Absolutely. Your stories belong to you. Only people you invite can access the content. We never share or use your personal stories for any purpose other than creating your book.
